Lit is the second book in the Alt Apocalypse series by Tim Abrahams. This series is an interesting experiment in that each book in the series is a stand alone novel of survival that takes the same characters but drops them into a different ‘apocalypse’ in each volume. It’s a cool idea for because we’ll get to see the world get destroyed in so many different.
In Lit we don’t have a massive world spanning apocalypse but rather a more intimate/personal apocalypse in that Tom sets California on fire and the book tells the tale of how multiple groups attempt to survive the blaze. And given how real the threat of massive fires are I think the story will resonate with many readers.
As always Kevin Pierce delivers an excellent performance. As far as I’m concerned Kevin is THE voice of survival fiction. He never disappoints.
