Challenges bring out the best and worst in humans and it’s especially true when society’s gatekeepers no longer function. With no incoming food and no punishment for criminal behavior, some folks turn bad. Others learn that killing another human in self defense is necessary. My favorite part was seeing a young teen grow up practically overnight as he defends his family. So much action! Fantastic book!!!!!
