This book evolves over the first with the expansion of Annie Elliott’s voice parts. The story is darker, more gory but you find yourself cheering for the characters as they face down the perception of the light versus the dark. The book is just the right length to plow through in 2-3 sittings. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
