Obsession of the Heart is Book 2 in the Music Trilogy but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The story centers on Davina Walters, an international singing sensation. With a diverse cast, various locales around the world and music at the heart of it all, Ms. Kahn spins a tale of love, loss and friendship.
I’m really enjoying this series. I love how the descriptions of the various settings almost makes you feel like you are there. The story is a reminder that even “beautiful people” have problems just like the rest of us. The characters love deeply and mourn the loss of loved ones with the same ferocity.
The narration was very capably handled by the author and I was impressed with her accents, character voices and foreign languages. My interest was held throughout and it was a great listening experience. I can’t wait for the final book in the trilogy and would recommend Obsession of the Heart.
