- Any additional comments?
- This is a fun story, and I liked the mystery of who the terrorist is, and the hunt to find the terrorist was entertaining. Christine is a smart cookie, who is an agent for MI5 in London, she is tasked with assisting American CIA agent, Jason, while he is in London searching for the terrorist. Christine is a good agent; except for the whole doesn’t carry a gun thing and her stereotypes against Americans, but she great with finding clues and evidence. Poor Jason on the other hand is a horrible agent! Oh my goodness! I do not know how he hasn’t already been killed! But, he is suave and good looking, so he has that going for him! Christine is immediately attracted to Jason, but she doesn’t know if she can trust him or his instincts. The romance is cute, but the sex was tame; it’s still good, but I just wanted a bit more; a bit more passion. I’m thinking it needed another sex scene or at least a heavy make out session, but it was nice, and the story is entertaining enough to make up for some of that. This book focuses a lot on the agents work, so there’s some great action, and the suspense was great. Oh! And this story could’ve definitely used an epilogue. The ending definitely felt rushed to me. I listened to the audiobook version of Toxic Seduction, and the narrator did a wonderful job with her narration. She brought the story to life, and I’d recommend listening to the audiobook version over just reading it. All in all, a Fun read!
