Well that certainly was different… and totally awesome! This tale, the beginning to a series it seems, while short really packs a punch. Crispin is a character you will want to follow, to understand and will love to hate. A victim of his own circumstances, Crispin is an example of nature v. nurture gone wrong. It’s hard to say much more without giving away spoilers! Sarah Puckett did a fantastic job with narration of this story. I would recommend ‘A Darkening of Magic’ to any readers who enjoy an explicit and truly bizarre, short horror story!
