I was so taken by surprise by the depth of the world created. Little things like… baby demon, the inner banter, that not so normal English Spaniel enriched and gave technicolor to the story. Janice St. James has spent her long life taming and babysitting an inner demon. They have learned that he can get what he needs without being evil, and in the supernatural world, that’s never been done. So, to keep them both alive, Janice must keep his inner existence a secret and give her trust to no one. But that leaves her in a pretty lonely world, until saving two young lives turns everything safe in her world, upside down. Trusting is now her only option.

Very well written and Sarah Puckett does a rocking job with all the characters!
