I stumbled across this book a while back after listening to One Second After (which is also a great book). I’d never heard of this author, but I took a chance. I’m so glad I did! I’ve listened to all three books in this series and am (im)patiently waiting for the next one. The characters are well developed and interesting. It’s refreshing to have a young woman be the strong leader. I have listened to several books narrated by Kevin Pierce and he is one of my favorites. It’s amazing how he can make every character sound just different enough so that you know instantly who is speaking, but does not force any accent or unnatural pitch changes. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of this genre – or even if you’re not, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
