This book has very compelling and endearing characters. I loved the imagery and the storyline. I find it fun when characters try to fight their attraction, because it doesn’t fit their mental plans. Plans are just plans, not written in stone. I loved how Leslie North wrote these particular characters. Luciana is the most selfless person for sacrificing her social life and home and changing career to raise her sister’s daughter. Gianpierre Romano was also compelling despite his tunnel vision goal. I loved it when priorities changed. The audio performance by Connor Brown was spectacular. The sound recording was professionally done, and his distinguished voices for various characters was awesome. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. There are some cameo appearances from characters from the first book, which only added to this book.
