This was truly a first rate sci-fi series. I listened to this over a 4 day period and it kept my attention throughout. Only once did I feel there was a lapse in character continuity for the sake of progressing the plot, however in a series this long I can forgive a blunder or two. I loved the way J. S. Morin mixed science and magic, and this was the first time I’ve read a book that took this particular approach. I loved the characters and the character development. I also love that the story ended. I realize that more can be written in this universe, but I was happy that there was resolution enough to give me the feeling I finished the story! I’m definitely going to follow Morin’s other work!
