This listen was even better than I expected it. The idea of ancient warriors being reborn many times was unique. There are several main characters which made it a bit hard to keep them straight in my head. I had to pay close attention to keep up with who was who. There were five teens coming into their powers, a warrior mentor figure, a long lost father that can track new warriors coming of age, the brothers, and a scary Elder.
Narration was good and brought the story to life.
Character development was ok although I would have liked to learn more about each teen. I’m hoping there will be more books with focus in each one of the main characters.
The bad guys were truly crazy villains with no regard to human casualties. They thought nothing of just killing a whole city to erase their problems! They were truly outrageous bad guys!
The way things came together at the end was great and I really liked the way things wrapped up nicely but left an opening for something more… Hopefully more books in this fun world with teens that have amazing “talents”.
