Oren is a big man in the world of New Era Online. At least he thinks so. He has impressive stats, has trained lots of other players, and even is the leader of his own guild. Playing the game is even how he makes money in the real world. For Oren, life is good. Until his second-in-command gives him a surprise gift. A gift that changes everything.

Oren has no memory when he wakes up in a cave a few hours later. He has no clue where he is or how he got there. The one thing he does know is that he has been turned into a goblin! But how had that happened, Oren couldn’t remember. While Oren is trying to figure things out, he is accepted into a goblin clan. So for the meantime, Oren plays his new goblin character as if he was a normal player. He completes a couple of quests and levels up a bit. Then he gets promoted to a boss character and that’s when things go from bad to worse

I loved this book from the beginning to the end. There are points where the players and goblins stats are talked about a little too much. To the point that it gets a little repetitive. And if you don’t play RPG games, it may make you put this down pretty quick.

Life Reset would be much more enjoyed by people who play RPG’s or read a lot of LitRPG. I love the fact that we get the story from a “monster” than from a traditional player perspective. I also really enjoyed being able to see a clan being built from the ground up. It’s actually really informative and I’ve gotten some strategic ideas that I can use in games that I play.

It can’t be easy to do voices for different human characters but doing voices for many different fantasy characters has to be a more difficult task. A task that Jeff Hays handles seemingly with ease.

Honestly, it’s been quite a while since I’ve loved an audiobook so much. I will definitely listen to this one over and over again. I’m sure that after listening many times over, I will still get many laughs out of the humor and sarcastic remarks of many of the characters. Shemer Kuznits has written a book that I think will be a classic. And with a classic voice like that of Jeff Hays, I’m sure many more people will enjoy this wonderful listen.
