Go in knowing you will be repeatedly hammered with religious and political beliefs that may or may not be your own. I mean HAMMERED! REPEATEDLY! If I wanted that I could turn on the T.V. I read and listen to audible books to get out of my head and away from all the bashing that goes on today. Had the author just touched in on potentially divisive issues to set the tone, set the scene, no problem but that’s not what he’s doing here. This is one of my favorite genres but this author is not one of my favorites. I know he has an audience, it’s just not me. I returned the book.
