I’m sure I would have liked the Black Ocean series if I had found it on a bookstore shelf, but the performance by Mikael Naramore made me fall in love with it. For me, it didn’t quite scratch that Firefly itch, but that’s OK because, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, I’d watch a Black Ocean TV series over Firefly any day of the week.
