This is a very interesting series. With each subsequent book, it is as though the plot is gaining momentum, like a slowly brewing storm. We are just waiting for all the pieces to line up so the deluge can begin.

This pride of dragons is special. In a paranormal world where dragons are precious about the purity of their bloodlines, these dragons are half breeds. They each have troubled pasts and are highly vulnerable. Add to that they each house their own dragon and that of their mate and the situation gets even more complex. Until they find their fated mate and vessel for the other dragon, they struggle with weakness and ill health.

The overall story line that threads through the series centres on their enemy, the Dragon Council. In each book the council unsuccessfully attempts to disband and eliminate the pride. In the case of Evander, he is a half breed but a stranger to the pride. He is usually kept imprisoned by the council but in this case they have sent him to get rid of the pride. Instead he finds his mate, the potential for his salvation, and family.

The book has a lot going on as the Stratham Shifters saga continues. I do wish there was a little more detail to the story but I can appreciate that this is a quick and easy paranormal audiobook to listen to.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
