The audio production, story, and characters have evolved over the last five books and unlike many stories, I have to say that it has only gotten better with each one. This story had ups and downs and at one point towards the end I didn’t want to hear the last few hours out of grief for it ending. I developed an interest/love for almost all the characters introduced, and the enemy King throughout the series was admirable, despite his opposition to the main cast. Without being detailed, his reasons and logic made sense from his perspective and led to an amazing moment towards the end of the book. If you are reading through reviews on this series to decide whether you should read it, spend the credit on book one now, and enjoy the ride, cuz it’s worth it!
