The concept of the book is fairly strong. It’s execution in world, design and character integration fall short. It is obvious that the author knows very little about the science is behind any of the tech technologies that he’s trying to describe. And did not bother to even do a little bit of research into them. Just a little bit of research into how lasers, neutrons, gravity, or related subjects works, would have added quite a bit to the book. All in all not a bad lesson, but nothing to get excited about.
