The entertaining writing of Matt Dinniman and amazing performances of Jeff Hays are the perfect combo. Honestly this is peak audio book. Someone needs to submit one of these books for a Grammy. The story is just so funny/heartwarming/gut wrenching. Throw in the subversive societal commentary and you’ve got me hooked. I can’t recommend these books enough to friends and family. Even if you aren’t into/familiar with the LitRPG genre (which I wasn’t), the barrier for entry is low and anyone can have a good time.
