This is one of thr most creative audiobooks I have experienced in genre. An Isekai’ed guitarist who must survive a fantasy world armed with a magical lute and use music magic to fight, lead, heal, etc. It really is cool when in battle you can hear the music and song. It really is an awesome power and enhances story. It is almost cinematic

This said the only reason this is not a 5/5 is that the MC is annoying, selfish and kind of evil. He is the kind of guy who gets a gig to play a show in an inn steals someone elses song causing them to storm stage destroy borrowed lute from inn keeper then mercifully still gets paid by kind innkeeper and repays kindness by lying to his daughter that he is a prince and steals her virginity with the promise he will marry her. It seems all mcs decisions are made for selfish hedonistic reasons Fine with flawed hero but wish he had some redeeming qualities like kindness to children or genuinely loving the women he is trying to seduce instead of just sex. Think more of a Patrick Rothtuss bard then the Witcher Dandelion bard. I am hoping the reason is tbat there is a greater redemption arc but the mc really annoys me with tge way he sees world and the kinds of goals he pursues witg his powers and gift.
