I’m still new to the LitRPG genre but found myself rather engrossed in this action-filled, hilarious first book of the Greystone Chronicles. Having spent time playing a PC-based MMORPG in years past, I was familiar enough with the book’s gaming lingo to fully enjoy the story. At the same time, I’m sure someone unfamiliar with actual gameplay could find this book just as enjoyable, thanks to brief and unobtrusive explanations of gaming terms. The characters are all realistic despite having fairytale-land gaming capabilities that I drooled at the mere thought of using in real life. Narration was fantastic and greatly enhanced by having two performers. A very good start to a series I’m excited to continue on with.
