The main character is infuriatingly stupid.

He finds himself in one perilous situation after another which would be entirely avoidable if he asked the most blindingly obvious questions.

He finds himself in a new world with a magical UI floating in his vision that is conversational. How did you come to be? Does everyone have this interface? The MC never asks these questions.

And the author makes baffling decisions. The MC is reborn as a bard and is penniless apart from a lute. His very life depends on performing well, yet he NEVER attempts to practice. The author also treats a professional guitar player trying to learn the lute as if they’re stupefyingly different instruments. Literally every lute player switched to guitar once it was invented but somehow to the MC this is a terrifyingly daunting challenge.

Words cannot express how lame this story is. The only thing remotely good about it is the terrific performance by the narrator.
