I don’t normally write reviews, but since I’ve become unreasonably obsessed over this series, I figured that I probably should. I have been attempting to figure out people to recommend this to, and I’ve only gotten to four people so far and at least one went through it faster than I did. The others remain to be seen.

The first book’s recording and voice actor is good, but Jeff Hayes gets even better the further you go. The story is a combination of Humor, Tragedy and at times, Horror if you really think about it, but I found it engaging and very…human. There is no playbook on how people react in mundane situations these days, so a world altering event, there is no prediction and following through and watching the characters react and grow and bond with each other, I found myself cheering them on through each success, each failure and each near miss.

There is some gore, plenty of violence but there is so much heart. I only wish I had more people to recommend this to and nerd out about it with. My husband finds the humor and violence intermixed rather jarring, so he’s going through it much more slowly to my extreme frustration.

I have also never seen such a team of Author and Voice Actor so engaged with the fans, and it only makes me like them all the more.
