Ryan Kirk’s Book 1 was interesting, if a bit light on plot element details and too reliant on SciFi tropes such as nanobots and space jumps. Even so, the premise was interesting and I had hopes that it would get better as the story progressed. Regrettably, Book 2 was a slow motion pace with very few exciting encounters and too much inter-personal dialog and internal angst. I stopped listening midway through Book 2.

Andrew Tell’s performance was well articulated but included more sympathy in his dialog which tended to bring on a sense of oncoming narcolepsy.
