This was fun. It moved along at a nice pace. It was a very simple read. Zero angst. It’s set on a (near) apocalyptic earth, just after first contact with an alien race called the Trivators. The H (Hunter) and the h (Jesse) meet under life and death circumstances. She risks it all to rescue him and yadda yadda yadda they become mates.
The best? The h is running on survival instincts and adrenaline and has no time for doormatish behaviour, or to be a temperamental damsel. Plus there’s some open door sex. The worst? NO world building outside of place names, invisible character descriptions. The writing isn’t deep or modern sounding. And you’ll also have to suspend of disbelief, because the h stages some rescues that are way above her skill set.
