I was wondering why there was so much darkness in this series but I guess it’s just based on the idea that goblins and monsters are inherently evil. Interesting. Because they really just act like regular folk apart from the fact that they are monsters…
This series is a continuation of the previous with the same general premise. Now that the world has been introduced, the author can focus on more game mechanics and advancement. I still say that their attempts to describe the rune crafting is sometimes overly complicated. And some things like the player levels don’t make that much sense to me if a level 40 can beat even a level 100. But apart from that, the intrigue was well thought-out.
Narrators were good. Main one also does a good job of actually laughing, making people sound like they’re actually far away and such. Also, the different voices were welcome to better appreciate the female characters and didn’t take away from the story. I’m more so looking forwards to the next book compared to the end of the last one.
