Not sure if the author lacks imagination or tactical common sense, or if he’s just trying to create the stupidest moronic but luckiest characters in the world.
You’re traveling down the road, being followed by bad guys who you are certain are wanting to do you harm. My very first thought is no problem make a turn off, stopping the road, lift the hood and pretend to be having car troubles. For people with rifles get in the woods on each side of the roadway and ambushed the bad guys when they stop. Easy peasy too bad guys down, very little risk to the good guys and gals. How could this not have even been brought up as a suggestion by the characters? So then the two characters with their convoluted silly logic decide the only way to go is a standoff. Why would Georgia wait until the fight between the two men is over to take out the other bad guy? She should have shot the other guy as soon as the two preparing to hand and fight had set their guns down.
These people as I said are either the stupidest yet luckiest people in the world as portrayed by the author, or the author just isn’t very realistic and how people would act. Not sure if I’ll be able to listen to another one of these books by this author, I can only bang my head against my steering wheel and scream stupid stupid stupid so many times before I get brain damage. Hmmm, note to author, pad your steering wheel.
