The inconsistent volume of the reader distracts from enjoyment of this book. This underlines the reason it is necessary to listen to a sample of the reading before committing to a purchase. I have purchased many books from Audible and enjoyed them to a great degree. I will continue to endorse Audible to people I talk to when the subject of reading books comes up. But I will always mention that listening to samples of the reading before purchase are a big key to maximum enjoyment
