I enjoyed this book. for the price of one credit you get 116 chapters full of the best stories from a dozen states.

I enjoyed the tales of crimes from the early 19th century (and earlier) that don’t get much spotlight, and liked the fact that when it came to the big three [Gacy, Bundy, Dahmer] they didn’t overshadow the other stories.

you only get a taste, but like the perfect bite, you get all you need in it. it leaves you satisfied, but not opposed to having more. several stories had updates on the status of those involved.

the decision to have Kevin Pierce narrate was masterful, he truly is one of the best narrators on the game.

being a huge true crime fan I heard a lot of stories I already knew, and heard a lot that I hadn’t. I thought the section with the interview with famed criminalist Henry Lee was a great departure.

overall don’t come to this book thinking you’re going to have s full breakdown of every story told, it’s a abridged version of an abridged version, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good.
