I feel this may be where the book really starts to branch out. It starts looking more about what is happening outside of the dungeon, giving a little bit more politics and factions, thus really helping set up tension for following floors.

The floor setting was good, but I feel it somehow lacked a little bit. The subway system wasn’t overly complicated once it was figured out, but it seemed so at the beginning and led to some confusion. I understand that there needs to be confusion for Carl and his companions, but it shouldn’t translate directly like that to the listener. Other than that, I can’t put my finger on why i didn’t find this book as good as the last two. Maybe it felt a little repetitive, but there were a few good things set up for the future. This one just seemed a little slow I guess.

Still, the series is great and I highly suggest a listen
