This is a new author for me, and I’ve quickly become a fan. I started listening in the afternoon and stayed up too late because I couldn’t break away! This book reminded me of one of my faves, Ronald Malfi, for the rich and realized characters with long haunting shadows from the past. Wasn’t super keen on the reader at the start, but warmed to his style and felt it suited the story. Looking forward to moving through the rest of Van Wey’s catalog.
