I liked this story and the characters, but I was hoping for more hardcore demon characteristics. This is not quite insta-love, but definitely fated mates, insta-attraction/lust type of story and the smexy times were boring and unimaginative. I definitely wished Joe had gotten more of what he deserved on page. I don’t know that I’ll continue with the series. I really liked the synopsis of this book and am considering the next, but I’m sure it will be more of the same squishy storyline. Just my humble opinion of someone’s hard work and imagination. Take it with a grain of salt because I’m a huge fan of K.A. Merikan.
The narration was fabulous. I fell in love with Joel Leslie on a farm in the outback when he was called Charlie and have loved every book he has narrated. The other narrator, Dan Calley, is new to me, and he did a good job as well. Good voice, good timing, and no weird mispronunciations.
