This is book 13 in Carr’s Wilder Irish series and another wonderful addition to this series but can easily be read as a standalone. The book starts as they all do with our endearing Pop pop. This book focus’ on our main characters Padraig and Emmy. While both of our main characters have delt with unthinkable loss, they’ve reacted to that loss in much different ways. Padraig living a life of grief and Emmy trying to grasp a newness. I love the lightbulb moment after Emmy decides she can’t wait for her dreams any longer. The community of friends and family surround both of these characters in the best ways and while Padraig and Emmy have a few ups and downs it’s clear that the Collin’s curse struck Padraig again and this time…it’ll be for keeps.

Great dual narration that brought all these characters to life and a smooth flowing, captivating storyline. Love the sweet, steam and humor (bar scene with the wipes was so cute) and I also loved the careers of both these characters. Overall, a great listen and I just love this family and series!
