I wanted to like this book because I love Jennifer Hartmann’s writing style and other books but this one was pretty bad. The MC is so insecure and whiny, yes he has a horrific history but it was such a turn off when the romance happened. Maybe I would have enjoyed this story more if I read it and not listened. I couldn’t even finish the whole book.
