I had mixed feelings listening to this book but I’ll tell you I enjoyed the experience because cast are top tier and their work is always a pleasure to hear.
If you’re a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh and Ghost Rider and have a heavy male perspective you’ll probably enjoy this story and it’s not a bad place to start for your first LitRPG. If you’re an aspiring author yourself this is a good example of what not to do and you should check it out and take notes. Still the premise is interesting and if you like to imagine yourself as a fixer in a trenchcoat you’ll enjoy it just fine.
Soundbooth theatre is awesome though, and this book is worth listening to just to hear their cast knock it out of the part aided by some fantastic sound design.
