Soundbooth Theater’s performance is excellent as usual, the quality of sound effects and narration are some of the best.
The story is a combination of gritty crime family drama and fun magic cards. It follows the start of the main character’s journey of having cards, while a criminal turf war breaks out with him in the middle. It’s a fast paced book with lots of action and a few dramatic twists. Though, admittedly the main twist of who the main antagonist is is easy to see coming early in the book.
The main character is an anti-hero. A “criminal with a code,” who is a bad guy that wants to hunt worse guys. He also likes dogs, and they are very good boys.
