First I have to say that I love everything that Jeff Hayes narrates! He and the usual cast with him are always solid. This is no different. It did take me a minute to get into the story without thinking of the dungeon crawler Carl series. The voices sound close to those. Story was engaging enough by midway through the first book that it stopped mattering. Interesting world building and I liked that it was a short series. Each book was pretty busy and very little extra going on.
