I feel like I’m listening to an off-brand version of the Sylvan series. I am incredibly annoyed with how this new narrator pronounces character names and locations as well as his accents for characters that were also in the books of the first series. It’s off-putting. I miss the original narrator and if nothing else this new narrator should’ve done a little homework and listened to how characters names, places and character accents were pronounced and read by the original reader. I don’t want to discourage anyone from reading or listening to either series because the books are great but I can’t get over these particular details that in my opinion are incredibly important for an audiobook. I’ll probably end up reading this series instead but I might see how the narrator does in the second book too see if he fixes his pronunciations
