So I have a weird suggestion with this one. If you are able, get the audiobook AND the kindle version. The story is a very fun twist up of both superhero and lit-rpg, and recommended for fans of either genre. The performance by the Soundbooth crew is top-notch as always, but Macronomicon has some fantastic visual puns and comedic timing in the written version that don’t translate well in audio.
To be clear, the audiobook is top tier and highly recommended, but for the full experience get a written version as well and either follow along with the audio or do both separately. Totally worth it.
I’m only halfway through reading the second book but I already have the third in my library, and unless things go really off the tracks I know that both will be insta-buys for me when they get audio versions.
