LITRPG?

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

First let me say the writing is really well done. The narration is superb. The story is not.

This is almost more a short story than a novel. At no point did I feel connected to the characters in any way. I’d say it was likely due to spending more time trying to force the story to be LitRPG than actually developing characters.

The gamer aspect of this story made little to no sense to me and it would have been a much better story without it.

I want to review it higher but I can’t. I am confident this will appeal to people due to the great writing and female protagonist, but if you are looking for a well-developed story with deep characters it won’t be found here.
