Rhoda Baxter’s ‘Belonging’ is a well-written, emotion-filled family story. Set in small-town Yorkshire, the main characters are dealing with the devastating impact of grief and learning how to live without a loved one. Along the way, two people find love for the second time. Baxter delivers characters that are likeable, a realistic plot and an idyllic setting perfect for a sweet love story.

Narration, performed by Diana Croft, is wonderful. Her voice-acting adds to the emotional qualities of Baxter’s story. I particularly like her interpretation of teenager Niamh.

If my memory is correct, I downloaded this audiobook from a website offering free ARCs. Regardless of how I acquired it, this is an honest and voluntary review of it.
