I absolutely loved this book. I didn’t expect it to be so good from other reviews I read, but in my opinion, it couldn’t have been better! Buck is a very talented writer, and getting to experience what he experienced through his detailed, vivid, and very real commentary was amazing. He was so open with his feelings, fears, and emotions, and it makes this a very emotional book, especially towards the end. Wow, just wow. Very eye opening and I’m so glad I read this. I also learned so much about the 1991 Gulf War, which I hadn’t known anything about because I wasn’t even born yet when it happened. Thank you to everyone who has served our USA in any capacity!
