The author literally ‘dumbs down’ everyone surrounding the MC so that the MC can shine and seem great. The MC’s skill set that sets him a part is that he is the only one who read the notice sent to EVERYONE, and he has played rpg games. Not realistic at all.
It’s clear that the author didn’t want to put in the work to make the MC exceptional.
Outside of that, the author repeats the challenges the MC faces, so the story gets old really quickly.
I read the first book, got halfway through the second and couldn’t go any further. Returned both titles for a better author’s works.
