The author did a pretty good job, in my opinion, of creating a power for the main character that at glance seems overpowered, but only if properly deployed. He managed to strike a good balance of using magic and wits in order to solve a problem, and foregoing using brute strength like in other stories. Additionally, I think the use of Brie as a supporting character helped with keeping the main character grounded and at the same time allowing for the possibility of future world development by teaching her (and in turn us as well) about how magic works in this world and the influence that it has on it.

If you’re waiting for me to go into details about the narration style just look at who’s doing it. You don’t need me to tell you that it is top notch. (Great job once again Soundbooth crew!)
