I’ve been waiting for the next book in this series for a while, but I think it was worth it. Hugo Huesca keeps putting out amazing books, each better than the last. Not only is this book worth every penny, but every minute keeps you glued, wanting more. The pacing was perfect, making it impossible to pause. The story is compelling, with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The narrators were outstanding, delivering some of the best performances I’ve heard. Initially, I thought it was a bit crazy to have six narrators, but afterward, I believe it was worth it; they all performed fantastically. With the extra voices, this book outshines the rest of the series, giving more characters distinct voices. I hope the next book keeps this lineup of narrators so we can enjoy another outstanding performance. I also want to thank Soundbooth Theater and the team that worked on this audiobook; they went above and beyond. The music, sound effects, and ambiance were perfect.
