I was dying for something from the lighter side of sci-fi, so I dug around and found this. Maybe it was the reviews that gave me unrealistic expectations, maybe it was the “Dramatized” version of the book, or maybe it was just an okay story. The characters were a little bit better than the story, but still a bit shallow, The plot was pretty weak, but the story did provide a few laughs. The narration was okay, but since it was Dramatized, I was expecting more. I might try book 2 if they move it to Audible+, but when I finished the book, I was feeling very meh. On the positive side, I did get a break from the zombie/EMP/alien/etc. apocalypse stories… Oh wait, the Earth got apocalypsed in this story by parasites, but since we didn’t hear most of the details, I’ll call it a win. 😉
