This book could be a hard read for some, as Gabriel is not a saint or a good man. He’s a womanizer who does not apologize or feel shame for all his past transgressions. He “helps” Mercy totally for his own gain, and it isn’t until the end of the book that the beginning of a change is seen.

It’s easy to feel for Mercy and the circumstances she finds herself in. I want to continue in the series to see how these two work it out and if her dad gets out of prison.

The narrators do a good job.
