This book is poorly constructed, the main character is the ultimate Marty Stu where he’s good at everything the first time, he’s amazing in every way and the only thing stopping him from winning everything is the opportunity to get into a fight. The book is also sexist in a 1960s James Bond kind of way. All the weman are smart and capable but every time they walk into a scene there’s at least one paragraph describing their every physical characterist, and there is a great amount of time given to the men talking about wanting the weman. This book doesn’t come close to passing the Bachnel test… I held my noise through the first two books (at 2x speed just to get through it) , but it doesn’t seem to get better. Gave up at the beginning of book three.
