A rollercoaster of emotions: “Bloodless Ties” delivers a thrilling conclusion with a few missteps along the way.

“Bloodless Ties,” the third installment in The Marionettes series, took me on an emotional rollercoaster. The ending was absolutely fantastic, leaving me breathless and eager for more. However, some elements fell flat for me.

One of my main gripes was the relationship between Valerie and Cam. It felt forced and unnecessary, detracting from the overall plot rather than enhancing it. The extensive sexual scenes also felt excessive, disrupting the pacing and not adding much substance to the story.

Despite these criticisms, the book’s strengths far outweighed its weaknesses. The ending, in particular, was a masterstroke. Book 4, here I come.
