This is the second book I have read/listened to by this author and I really want to hear how this story finishes.
I am enjoying the alien twist on the apocalyptic outline. And although there are some unavoidable human traits that need to be expressed during an apocalyptic event, her story is still fresh and different. This book has less of the truly disturbing side of humanity, but the author definitely does not shy away from difficult topics.
This is a continuation on from where book one left off with a cliffhanger.

This is the 13th book I have listened to by this narrator and I think he reads this genre very well. He brings out the characters personalities and gives each of voice. He does not really use accents to differentiate, but the characters are distinguishable. His style helps draw me into the story and to forget someone is reading to me.
I don’t think I have been disappointed yet by a book he has chosen to narrate.

There is a background noise to the audio quality, but after the first book, I am used to it. That is my only reason for putting the narration as 4/5.

There are no explicit sex scenes, there is discussion of child abuse and violence, but it is not overly described. I believe there is some swearing, but very minimal that I don’t even remember much of it.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review.
