None of the characters are likeable. I listened to the entire first book, hoping it would get better.

But it never got better. For the entire first book, the main character acts like a self-entitled ass, who picks a fight with another character and has an annoying frat bro rivalry as they both fight over a girl. Only remember, the MC is a robot, without the glands or testosterone.

And then the second book keeps up the juvenile chest-bumping frat bro arguments. The rival from the first book is there the entire time, except now they’re fighting over who’s Captain.

I don’t listen to science fiction just to have egotistic frat bros fighting in my ears. And the universe and ideas around the frat bros aren’t interesting or well developed enough for me to keep pushing through. This book is just thoroughly miserable.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would happily. I’m only rating this book in a desperate attempt to get the Amazon Algorithm to stop recommending this book and its sequels to me, because *somebody* has to think this drek is worth reading for there to be this many sequels and I wouldn’t ruin their fun unless I was desperate.
